The Temple Festival Singers were having a little fun posing in their Model-T Ford for the camera. The group made appearances in Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, and Wisconsin during the 1923 Chautauqua season. The group was sponsored by W.S. Rupe, who later owned the "Ames Tribune," and his Acme Chautauqua Agency. From the left are Rosiland Cook, Clifford Bloom, Helen Ryburn, and Lennadore Berg. All were associated with the Department of Music at Iowa State College except Bloom, who was on the staff at Drake University. (See also: 178.997.1)
