Frank Allen's Grand View Dairy wagon headed north along Duff Avenue in the Fourteen Hundred block. Allen's home and dairy farm were on the east side of Duff around where O'Neil Drive is today (1994). George Allen Avenue is named for Frank and Belle Allen's son, a casualty of World War II. (See also: 151.831.1-2)

L. C. (Grandpa) Allen frequently dropped by at the Frank and Belle (Selby) Allen dairy farm on north Duff Avenue for a visit. Belle Selby was one of the first women to work as a clerk in the stores on Onondaga (Main) Street. She worked at Tilden's store in 1895.
