The 49th old soldiers reunion of Story County was held in Nevada (Iowa) on August 18, 1927. This group, shown in front of the Nevada Public Library, represents nearly all of the Civil War veterans remaining in the county. Standing, l-r: Eli B. Cramblit, Ames; Cyrus Highland, Slater; H. O.
