Porch of residence which previously had been the Hoggatt School. Photo taken in 1980 prior to structure being moved to grounds of Meeker Elementary and restored to its original form, that of a one-room school house. When a residence, the house was located at 1008 South Third Street. Porch was eliminated by restoration which was accomplished under sponsorship of the Ames Heritage Assn. in 1981.

Just east of Lincoln Way Bridge on Riverside Drive where Hoggatt School once stood before it was moved to Third Street and converted to a residence.
